Johannes Gabriel

Johannes Gabriel is a PhD candidate focusing on international relations and foreign policy at the University of Trier in Germany. He is currently finishing his dissertation, titled (Political) Science and Future. Until May 2011, he was working with the Society and Technology Research Group in Berlin, the Daimler AG’s future watch department.
His research interests include aspects of future studies and strategic foresight, and his empirical research focuses on China’s transition, international order and globalization. He is also engaged in research on strategic technology innovation. He has authored several publications for the leading strategic-foresight journal and co-authored research articles for, among others, the German Council on Foreign Relations' Yearbook and Internationale Politik. Johannes has moderated national and international workshops and has lectured and conducted research at the University of Trier.
Johannes received a master's degree in political science and economics as well as a certificate in modern Chinese language from the University of Trier. For his master's thesis he received a distinction from the University's Association of Political Science Alumni.
