Swati Mylavarapu

Swati Mylavarapu is a San Francisco resident, where she is a Consultant with Dalberg Global Development Advisors. Swati works particularly closely on Access to Finance and rural economic development projects at the firm, and has served a variety of international development institutions including UN agencies and Bretton Woods institutions. Prior to joining Dalberg, Swati was a founding member of the Google.org global development team, where she helped launch the “experiment in for-profit philanthropy” publicly. In particular, she worked on financial services projects and technology products for low income populations in India and East Africa. Swati holds an MPhil in Economic History from Oxford, and an AB highest honors in Development Studies from Harvard, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Swati is a 2004 Truman Scholar and a 2005 Rhodes Scholar. She also founded the Bay Area's South Asian Giving Circle, a community philanthropy that aims to educate donors while supporting organizations within the diaspora.
