Katrin Kinzelbach

Katrin Kinzelbach is a research fellow at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights and a PhD candidate in political science at the University of Vienna, where she studies the normative dimension of EU-China relations. Before her return to academia, Katrin served in various functions for the United Nations Development Programme, focusing on democratic governance, crisis prevention and recovery (2001-2007). Prior to that, she worked on short-time assignments for UNHCR in Geneva as well as for the OSCE in Bosnia-Herzegovina and in Croatia. Katrin Kinzelbach holds a Master in Peace and Security Studies from King’s College, London and a Magister/ Laurea double-degree awarded by the Universities of Florence and Bonn. She received scholarships from the German National Academic Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service, the Haniel Foundation and the Volkswagen Foundation.
